The next European Leadership Embodiment Retreat will be held at the beautiful Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland. It will be led by Wendy Palmer, the founder of Leadership Embodiment (LE).
At retreats, the LE community comes together for more intensive practice of the work. It’s a deeper dive that involves extended 30 minute sitting meditations and longer periods of studying LE exercises, deepening our practice and our understanding of our own patterns. Therefore, participants are required to have completed a Fundamentals course before joining a retreat.
Samye Ling is the Tibetan Buddhist monastery founded by Akong Rinpoche and Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1967, providing a rich and inspiring background to the practices and learning of leadership, and enhancing a keen awareness that the LE practices are rooted in centuries of practice and stress-testing.
“A highly memorable, deeply enriching experience – the exercises and teachings from Wendy; a supportive group of individuals with varied backgrounds and open minds; and the beautiful, restorative environment. I had several ‘aha!’ moments when practices shone fresh light on issues I previously struggled with. The concept of ‘resources in the space’ – in connection with nature and the environment – is both reassuring and empowering … Finally, the closing bokken ritual with Wendy was one of the most powerful, moving activities I have ever experienced. I have drawn on the memory of that experience several times since I returned home and am sure it will stay with me, and inspire me, in the future.”
The price of £750 includes accommodation and meals.
We reserve accommodation in 2 blocks of the monastery, and allocate rooms on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first session of the retreat will be at 3.30pm on Tuesday 31st May 2016. We suggest arriving by 2.30pm so that you can settle in.
We will be finishing at Samye Ling by 3pm on Friday 3rd June 2016.
