James has two daughters and lives in the Highlands of Scotland. He was one of the very first coaches in Europe to be certified as an Leadership Embodiment coach and is also a CTI-trained Co-Active coach.
He supports people and organisations working under pressure to respond creatively, efficiently, and on purpose. He studies and applies leadership in the contexts of business, parents, children and schools, and works in partnership on a number of leadership and coaching projects such as Somatics in Coaching, Embodied Parent Education, Global Talent Coaching, and Open Leadership Embodiment Evenings in London.
James is committed to growing the somatics community in Europe. He brings a much-needed father’s perspective to parent-coaching as well as his skills and experience as a teacher of Aikido, encouraging students to apply the art’s peaceful principles on and off the mat, transforming conflict, opposition and aggression.
James’ coaching has been a gift to me. He has a powerful ability to go deep, and has truly walked alongside me in my journey of discovery, with humility and humour. His coaching has given me rich images and reflections which have marked the ground towards lasting change.
An uplifting experience, delivered by a highly skilled facilitator. He provided a practical methodology to centre and relieve pressure and stress.
